Job summary

Worley is seeking an experienced structural welder/fitter for a remote Arctic site in Alaska. The role involves laying out, fitting, and welding fabrications to blueprints, in flat to overhead positions, with emphasis on structural frames, tanks, and vessels.

The candidate should have 3+ years of structural welding experience, pass SMAW/FCAW tests (D1.1 and ASME IX), hold a valid driver’s license, and be prepared for a safety‑driven, remote work environment.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years’ experience in structural welding or equivalent
• Must pass structural weld test (SMAW/FCAW, D1.1, ASME IX)
• Valid driver’s license and able to be covered by Worley auto insurer
• NSTC certification training available through Worley if needed
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fits, and weld components according to blueprints or work orders
• Weld in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead)
• Examine welds for bead size and specifications
• Prepare surfaces and clean joints for welding
• Repair products by dismantling and rebuilding parts
• Complete records and maintain tools and equipment
• Work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Follow safety policies and environmental requirements
• Possess drive to support Arctic operations and remote site conditions
