Job summary

Fairweather is seeking a Scientist/Planner in Anchorage, AK to support project management and environmental planning tasks. The role is 40 hours per week with a pay range of 26–35 per hour depending on experience.

You will assist senior staff in hazard mitigation, data gathering, and public involvement activities, and must have a BS/BA in a related field, pass a pre-employment check, and be able to work in our Anchorage office.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a relevant field and ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
• Proficiency with environmental and planning documents and regulations.
• Ability to work in our Anchorage office.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior staff with hazard mitigation planning and other projects.
• Support data collection, literature reviews, and interviews with rural residents.
• Help prepare newsletters, information materials, and public presentations.
• Maintain mailing lists and comment databases.
