Job summary

Fairweather, a Doyon company, seeks a Scientist/Planner to work under senior staff on hazard mitigation and environmental planning in Anchorage. The role includes producing newsletters, presentations, and information materials while coordinating with project teams.

40 hours/week; 26–35 USD/hour depending on experience. Requirements: pre-employment physical, drug test, valid driver's license, and ability to work in the Anchorage office.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Emergency Management or related field.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work in our office in Anchorage.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior staff in hazard mitigation planning and related projects.
• Develop presentations for public forums and information materials.
• Research reports and interview rural Alaska residents for issues.
• Support Project Managers with various tasks as needed.
