Job summary

Hilcorp is seeking an experienced oilfield technician to monitor and operate facility equipment across Prudhoe Bay operations. The role requires following safety procedures, maintaining logs, and instant reporting of issues to supervision.

The position may require on-call duties and travel to remote locations in arctic conditions. The ideal candidate has at least two years of oilfield experience, the ability to work 14x14 shifts, and can operate with minimal supervision while coordinating with

Qualifications

• Two years minimum oilfield experience.
• Ability to work a 14 day on and 14 day off 12 hour shift schedule.
• Requires less supervision in routine duties.
• Knowledge of Prudhoe Bay operations and how wells, gas plants and seawater fit into the equation.
• Ability to train other employees of lower rank and/or experience.
• Willingness to travel to remote locations by plane, helicopter or boat and wear immersion suit.
• Able to work in arctic conditions and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate facility equipment including pumps, compressors, valves, tank levels, and other vessels.
• Follow SPCC and other safety procedures; maintain a safe work environment.
• Report operational and maintenance issues promptly.
• Complete daily readings and maintain logs/records.
• Shut down equipment under supervisor guidance in emergencies.
• Be available on-call 24 hours per day for questions and emergencies.
