Job summary

Hilcorp Energy Company in Alaska’s Arctic fields seeks a capable Operator to monitor and operate facility equipment including pumps, compressors, valves, and tank levels, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will work a 14 on/14 off, 12-hour shift schedule, travel to remote locations, maintain logs, perform routine maintenance, and report issues promptly. High school diploma or GED and oilfield experience required; ability to work unsupervised in hazardous conditions a must.

Qualifications

  • Two years oilfield experience minimum.
  • Willingness to work a 14 on/14 off, 12-hour shift schedule.
  • Ability to travel to remote locations.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and inspect facility/field equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance to maximize production capacity and quality.
  • Log daily readings (pressures, temperatures, levels) and maintain clean, organized work area.
  • Complete required tests for product quality and integrity and report issues promptly.
  • Comply with Mechanical Integrity, Operator Certification and MOC procedures.
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies as needed.
  • Shut down equipment as directed by supervision in emergencies.
  • May work at multiple fields and support emergency response.
