Heritage Werks is seeking an Archivist to process and preserve historical assets across diverse client projects. You will assess collections, organize materials, and produce clear finding aids while applying metadata standards and best practices.

The role emphasizes research, client interaction, and delivering concise briefs. A strong MLIS with cataloging focus and travel readiness are valued attributes for this position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of archival processing experience.
• MLIS with Cataloging and/or Archives Specialization.
• Certified Archivist (CA) designation preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and move materials as needed.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for project needs.

Responsibilities

• Process, preserve, and unlock the value of historical assets.
• Conduct collection assessments and content surveys.
• Organize archival materials physically and intellectually.
• Write finding aids and content inventories.
• Provide specialized archival research and reference support.
• Collaborate across departments to deliver results.
• Translate research findings into clear summaries and recommendations.
