Qualifications

• This position requires proficient use of office productivity software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute is required.

Responsibilities

• Scan documents, photographs, negatives.
• Transcribe and edit oral histories.
• Transcribe handwritten documents.
• Update documents and databases.
• Create descriptive data (metadata) for archival materials.
• Organize and describe archival materials.
• Digitize audio/visual formats.
• Help organize storage spaces.
• Provide reference and research assistance to patrons.
• Other duties as assigned.
