Eis Group USA is seeking a Processing Archivist on a full-time contract basis in a remote or hybrid setup. You will manage archival materials, create finding aids, and support digital preservation while maintaining thorough documentation and metadata.

Responsibilities include organizing collections, applying standards, collaborating with library staff and researchers, and ensuring access while meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in archival studies or related field.
• 2–3 years’ experience in archival processing, library collections, or information administration.
• Knowledge of archival arrangement, description and preservation practices.
• Experience maintaining inventories, finding aids, metadata or digital records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital documentation tools.
• Familiarity with archival databases or digital repositories preferred.

Responsabilités

• Receive, evaluate, and organize archival materials and records.
• Describe collections and create finding aids and inventories.
• Maintain collection databases, metadata, and processing docs.
• Assess preservation needs and ensure proper handling and storage.
• Support digitization and verify digital records.
• Collaborate with staff and researchers; prepare materials for access.
• Monitor schedules and meet project deadlines.
• Suggest improvements to workflows and cataloging practices.
