Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Architecture Intern to support a design team on residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. You will help prepare drawings, renderings, and construction documents under licensed architects.

The role involves applying building codes (IBC), zoning rules, and collaborating with engineers on site plans, while participating in site visits and design reviews to learn practical industry workflows.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a NAAB-accredited undergraduate Architecture program.
• Strong verbal and written communication with clients and team.
• Willingness to learn in a cross-disciplinary environment.
• Willingness to attend site visits and outdoor work.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing architectural design drawings, renderings, and 3D models for residential and commercial projects.
• Support development of construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, under licensed Architects.
• Research applicable building codes, zoning requirements, and accessibility standards affecting building design.
• Assist in preparing design submittals for architectural review boards, planning commissions, and permitting agencies.
• Coordinate with civil, landscape, and structural engineers to integrate building design with site plans.
• Attend site visits to document conditions and observe construction progress on active projects.
