Job summary

C Cornell University seeks a Department Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Department of Architecture in Ithaca. You will provide administrative leadership, partnering with the Department Chair to steer operational, financial, and staffing strategies for faculty and students.

You will supervise four administrative staff and collaborate with college partners, NYC and Rome program staff, ensuring effective programs and inclusive, efficient operations across campuses.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and 5–7 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in financial management and team leadership, including supervising others, setting priorities, and providing guidance, training, and support.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the department and provide administrative leadership.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and policy compliance.
• Supervise four administrative staff and coordinate with chair, college partners, and university administration.
• Support program administration across Ithaca, New York City, and Rome in collaboration with stakeholders.
