Job description

General Summary

The Construction Administration Coordinator reports to a Managing Director and is responsible for scope, schedule, and budget. The person works under the management direction and in cooperation with the Project Architect and Project Designer to develop high‑quality design on time and within budget.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties

Requires working closely with a team of in‑house architects, interior designers, planners, landscape architects, and consultants on multiple projects throughout the Southeast to meet scheduled deliverables. The successful candidate must be a leader, self‑starter, organized, flexible, and possess a strong work ethic. The following duties are normal for the position.

  • Work within a team environment.
  • Handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Travel to project sites throughout South Carolina and North Carolina.
  • Maintain correspondence with consultants for submittals and schedules.
  • Manage project schedules simultaneously with multiple teams.
Required Skills And Abilities
  • Technical understanding and ability to read construction documents accurately.
  • Accurately record shop drawings, contracts, RFIs, and related documents.
  • Understanding of design and procurement processes.
  • Accurately review payment applications.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Project management skills with ability to apply knowledge and techniques to meet requirements.
  • Professional presence through competence, reliability, honesty, integrity, respect, positivity, and thoughtful listening.
  • Familiarity with construction management software (Procore or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with AIA contract documents.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in construction management or a relevant field.
  • 8+ years of progressive work history with construction administration experience.

Pay Transparency

Payroll

Employees are paid bi‑weekly. Direct deposit is available.

Work may be performed in office, at client locations, or on construction sites. Physical demands include sitting or standing for extended periods, walking on uneven surfaces, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting light to moderate weight, operating office and field equipment, and communicating verbally and in writing.
