Job summary

Homebound is seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager in Dallas to coordinate external partners and lead design development for single-family homes. You will review drawings, manage vendors, and ensure compliance with codes and budgets across markets.

Responsibilities include guiding exterior architecture, material selection, and plan development, with emphasis on permitting and client- and code-driven revisions. A 5–8 year background in residential design is expected.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of architectural experience in project roles such as Project Architect or Architectural Project Manager.
  • Experience with single-family residential projects, zoning, permitting, and HOA processes.
  • Experience in production or semi-custom homebuilding or boutique residential design firms is preferred.

  • Coordinate external architectural partners and consultants through pre-construction, managing communication, reviewing deliverables, and providing markups
  • Manage consultant selection, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management within the architectural partner network
  • Prepare and review construction documents prior to agency submittal and support permitting, including responding to jurisdictional comments
  • Ensure schematic design intent carries through design development and construction documents per Homebound standards and budgets
  • Support development of Homebound's plan series, adapting layouts to local zoning, site, and code requirements
  • Provide design direction to external architects on exterior architecture, façades, and materials
  • Review and coordinate Revit models for compliance with standards and documentation
  • Partner with Product Development, Construction Operations, Procurement, and Sales to align deliverables
  • Contribute to architectural plan development, exterior character, materials, and palettes across markets
  • Help move projects efficiently from design through permitting

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate external architectural partners and consultants through pre-construction, managing communication, reviewing deliverables, and providing markups
  • Manage consultant selection, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management within Homebound's architectural partner network
  • Prepare and review construction documents prior to agency submittal and support permitting, including responding to jurisdictional comments and coordinating revisions
  • Ensure schematic design intent carries through design development and construction documentation while aligning with Homebound standards and project budgets
  • Support development and refinement of Homebound's plan series, adapting layouts and architectural features to local zoning, site, and code requirements
  • Provide design direction to external architects on exterior architecture, façade composition, and material selections
  • Review and coordinate Revit models produced by external architects for compliance with modeling standards and documentation requirements
  • Partner with Product Development, Construction Operations, Procurement, and Sales teams to align architectural deliverables with construction and product strategy
  • Contribute to architectural plan development, exterior character, materials, and design palettes across markets
  • Help move projects efficiently from design through permitting
Requirements
  • Candidates must be located within the Dallas markets
  • 5 to 8 years of architectural experience, with a background aligned with a Project Architect or Architectural Project Manager role
  • Experience working on single-family residential projects, including zoning, permitting, and HOA approval processes
  • Experience in production or semi-custom homebuilding and/or boutique/custom residential design firms preferred
  • Strong eye for exterior architecture, materials, and overall composition
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and/or Bluebeam; BIM experience required
  • Understanding of residential construction systems including structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordination
  • Familiarity with building codes, permitting processes, and climate-specific residential construction considerations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
  • Experience working in Florida residential markets desired
  • Experience adapting standardized home plans across multiple markets desired
  • Architectural licensure or progress toward licensure desired
  • High fidelity rendering experience such as Enscape, Lumion, or 3ds Max desired
  • Must answer employment visa sponsorship and restrictive-agreement questions for U.S. employment
