Job summary

Weston & Sampson seeks an Architectural Team Leader with 20+ years of experience for our Foxborough or Reading, MA offices. You will manage architectural design projects within the Facility group, lead multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to business development through proposals and client coordination.

Ideal candidates will have a professional architecture degree and license, strong Revit/BIM skills, and a proven ability to guide construction document production and client relationships.

Weston & Sampson is seeking an Architectural Team Leader with 20+ years’ experience for our Foxborough or Reading Massachusetts Offices.

What You’ll Do
  • Work will include management of architectural design projects for the Facility group’s clients, supporting the company’s other engineering discipline groups, and participating and contributing to the expansion of the Facility group’s growing project base.
  • Manage and develop team members through effective workload planning, performance coaching, and career progression support to achieve individual and organizational goals.
  • Lead and support multi-disciplinary project teams in the planning and design of new and renovated facilities. Work includes programming and conceptual planning through construction document preparation and construction administration.
  • Network with new and existing clients by responding via direct requests and/or proposals
  • Conduct business development including writing proposals, meeting with clients, and preparing detailed scopes of work.
  • Work directly with clients to establish project and programming needs.
  • Support projects through budgeting and permitting processes, including working with estimators to prepare construction and project costs, leading the project through permitting agencies and committees, and assisting the client in acquiring funding through public hearings and meetings.
  • Mentor and guide the development of junior staff and participate in the growth our Architectural practice.
  • Participate in professional organizations and internal committees and/or groups.
  • Collaborate and build strong working relationships with internal multi-disciplinary teams.
What You'll Bring
  • 20+ years of substantial experience as a productive member of a project design team with strong technical and Revit skills.
  • Ability to function comfortably, gain trust, confidence and deal effectively with a wide range of individuals including consultants, contractors and facilities project team members
  • Proven ability to function in all phases of project development from schematic design through contract administration
  • REVIT/BIM knowledge is desirable.
  • Strong construction experience and knowledge of architectural technical detailing.
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead a project team and guide production of construction documents, including coordination with internal and external engineering disciplines.
  • Professional degree required
  • Architectural License
Salary Range

Salary Range: $165,000- $175,000k based on experience
