Job summary

SOM is seeking an experienced Architect to lead portions of projects in San Francisco. You will coordinate diagrams, drawings, renderings and models, and communicate with clients and consultants to advance design across disciplines.

The role requires a professional Architecture degree, licensure, and at least six years of experience with Revit, BIM, AutoCAD and Rhino. Strong knowledge of building systems and sustainability is essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of a professional degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience or equivalent knowledge.
• Licensed Architect with current registration.
• Proficient in Revit, BIM and AutoCAD.
• Proficient in 3D modeling Rhino and rendering software.
• Strong knowledge of architectural building systems and sustainability.
• LEED accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively leads distinct portions of a project with oversight from leadership.
• Produces and coordinates diagrams, drawings, renderings and models.
• Communicates effectively with internal teams, consultants and clients.
• Demonstrates strong conceptual design ability across large projects.
• Collaborates across studio and office to evaluate ideas and progress.
• Manages documents and coordinates specifications for technical compliance.
• Oversees time and workload to meet deadlines and learn junior staff.
