A leading hardware solutions provider is seeking a qualified professional to promote architectural hardware specifications. This fully remote position requires candidates with 10 years in the architectural door hardware industry and AHC certification. Responsibilities include writing specifications, ensuring compliance with building codes, and attending project meetings. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and knowledge of building standards. The salary range is $70,000 – $120,000 based on experience.
Perform duties required to promote Hager architectural hardware with architects, specification writers, and end users for the purpose of inclusion in finish hardware specifications. These duties would include, but are not limited to, reviewing substitution requests, submittals, creating master specifications, and specifications writing. This position is fully remote. Candidates may reside anywhere within the United States. The salary range is $70,000 – $120,000 per year, based on experience.
Ten years’ experience working in the architectural door and hardware industry.
AHC (Architectural Hardware Consultant) as designated by the Door and Hardware Institute (or equivalent combination of training and work experience).
Functional knowledge of building codes and standards relating to doors and door hardware. Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office, PDF editor software, and hardware scheduling software is preferred. Excellent communication, organization, and professional presentation skills required. Experience with access control systems and low‑voltage hardware products preferred.
Normal office environment which requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and see. May involve the ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects of up to 15 to 20 pounds, infrequently.
