Job summary

USA SHADE (a division of PlayPower) seeks an experienced Architectural Sales Consultant to generate specifications and drive sales of shade structures in California through relationship building and design support.

You will develop new Landscape Architect and Architect accounts, present design options, and collaborate with project teams to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications

• Experience selling shade structures or architectural products is preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills are required.
• Ability to develop Landscape Architect and Architect accounts and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop new clients within the assigned territory through calls, trade shows, meetings, and targeted marketing from home office.

USA SHADE (a division of PlayPower), a world leader in the manufacturing and construction of outdoor steel and fabric shade structures is seeking an experienced Architectural Sales Consultant. We are an aggressive and challenging specialty contractor performing design/build projects in the rapidly advancing tensile structures field. We are dedicated to collaborating with our clients, making their design concepts a reality, and continuing to advance fabric architecture.

This position is responsible for generating specifications and sales of diverse shade products in California through relationship building and by demonstrating exemplary presentation, collaboration and design support, as well as negotiation and closing skills. The Architectural Sales Consultant develops new Landscape Architect and Architect accounts as well as maintains and cultivates existing clients.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop new clients within assigned territory using various methods including, but not limited to, cold calling, attending trade shows, face-to-face meetings, and direct marketing from their home office.
• Work with existing clients and contacts to develop new business and cultivate existing business relationships.
• Collaborate with and support Landscape Architects, Architects, Engineers and other designers focusing on market segments including but not limited to: public schools, cities, counties, military, developers, churches, private schools, universities, HOA’s, airports, general contractors, etc.
• Actively participate in ASLA and AIA sponsored activities relative to territory.
• Prepare and present design options and proposals to customers.
• Collaborate with other departments i.e. project management and engineering to ensure a positive customer service experience and client satisfaction.
• Track, measure, and analyze personal performance through the company’s contact management tool.
• Perform various administrative tasks i.e. conceptual drawing requests, design drawing requests, and completing reports and paperwork as needed.
