What You Will Do:

GFT is seeking an Architectural Project Manager to join our Architectural Studio in Philadelphia, PA! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our office in downtown Philadelphia, PA.

What you'll be challenged to do:

As an Architectural Project Manager, you will need to be a motivated leader with a focus in the Transit market. You must have a positive attitude to serve Transit clients, lead diverse design teams, and drive and oversee constructability and architectural production quality, and to promote timely project delivery. You will be challenged to produce high quality work in a fast-paced and intellectually engaging environment.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Be a client facing representative for Gannett Fleming TranSystems Architecture.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and build and maintain our client's trust.
  • Generate project scopes, schedules, and budgets and be responsible for achieving and/or exceeding our delivery performance.
  • Lead complex projects and diverse project teams to serve clients with the aim of deepening our relationships and growing out Transit presence in the region.
  • Leading through example by driving high-quality production of construction documents, including detailed drawings, specifications, estimates, and constructability assessments.
  • Serve as the primary contact with Transit clients on key projects.
  • Ensure that project quality requirements are followed, production reviews are effective, and constructability reviews are completed.
  • Travel and lead teams on site visits as required for projects of various sizes and scopes.
  • Periodic travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for opportunities, client meetings, etc.
  • Research and become familiar with client requirements including preferences, programs, guidelines, and standards.
  • Perform and lead teams in comprehensive code, life-safety, egress, and product and material research.
  • Lead projects and teams from start and concepts to finish and project turnover after construction.
  • Lead the development of design concepts and presentations that clearly express the project goals and concepts to our clients and key stakeholders, including government and public entities.
  • Lead production teams in the development of technical details including coordination with engineering disciplines, partnering designers, and subconsultants.
  • Supervise preparation of project specifications.
  • Coordinate work of all disciplines and coordinate production of drawings and technical specifications.
  • Supervise and lead during the bid phases processes and continuing design through IFC and permit.
  • Supervise the review of shop drawings and construction RFIs.
  • Help guide and mentor entry level and emerging architectural staff.
  • Lead and/or assist with the preparation of proposals responding to RFQ's, RFP's and other solicitations from our clients.
Education | Experience:

What you will bring to our firm:

  • Organized individual with a positive team building spirit.
  • Bachelor of Architecture Degree or Master of Architecture Degree.
  • Experience with software such as Revit Architecture, BlueBeam Revu, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Technical Specification writing platforms.
  • Effective writer, communicator, detail-oriented designer.
  • Able to work collaboratively with staff and clients on multiple projects and across multiple offices.
  • In depth knowledge of International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, LEED, and related codes and standards.
  • Must have Familiarity and experience with Transit project types and requirements.
  • Experience with SpecLink platform.

What we prefer you bring:

  • Licensed/Registered Architect within the United States.
  • 8+ years' experience in Architectural Production.
  • 4+ years' experience in Architectural Project Management.
  • Familiarity and experience with Transit project types and requirements.
  • Experience with SpecLink platform.

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $105,000- $135,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
