Position: Project Manager for Residential and Multi-Family Sectors

Designblendz seeks a Project Manager to participate in the design and documentation of residential and multi-family projects in our Philadelphia office. The Project Manager will work alongside principals, project architects, designers, and leadership to coordinate and develop design and construction documents for bidding and construction, provide construction phase administration activities, and mentor less experienced team members.

The ideal candidate has:

  • A professional degree in architecture from an NAAB-accredited university and professional licensure.
  • 10+ years of professional experience focusing on residential and multi-family projects.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and management skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience leading small-scale projects or components of larger projects through various design stages, and developing work plans and strategies with project and firm leadership.
  • Strong design awareness and knowledge of technical documentation, construction documentation, and familiarity with specifications.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and project management software.
  • Experience with quality control and coordination of construction administration services.
  • Experience in preparing project programs and schedules.
  • Experience in preparing and laying out architectural contract documents and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of architectural design documentation, detailing, building materials, codes, construction techniques, and material compatibility.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead internal and external project teams, coordinate with disciplines, consultants, and product reps, and conduct design research.
  • Advise and improve firm drawing standards.
  • Successfully lead project teams, completing tasks with mentorship.
  • Ensure project plans and budgets are adhered to.
  • Manage redline and review documentation.
  • Support the project team and external consultants daily.
  • Lead construction administration activities across disciplines.
  • Produce field reports as required based on project responsibilities.
