Job summary

Francis Cauffman Architects in New Haven, CT is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead architecture projects from planning and design through documentation, construction administration, and closeout.

You will work closely with clients, consultants, firm leadership, and internal project teams to deliver high-quality design solutions that meet project goals, budgets, schedules, and client expectations, while mentoring teammates and fostering a collaborative, accountable project environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is required.
• Architectural registration strongly preferred.
• 10+ years at an architectural firm, with higher education, healthcare, mixed-use, or workplace experience.
• 3+ years of project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of design, documentation, construction administration, and project delivery.
• Familiarity with building codes, accessibility, life safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, AutoCAD or related tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, client management, collaboration, mentoring, organization and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture projects from planning through documentation, construction administration, and closeout.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, deliverables, and overall project performance.
• Serve as a key client contact with proactive coordination and problem-solving.
• Coordinate internal teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Support quality, coordination, documentation standards, and design intent.
• Mentor team members and foster a collaborative, accountable project environment.
