Job summary

Paylocity in Seattle seeks a Project Coordinator to provide general administrative support to the Project Team for a variety of construction projects. This role reports to the Senior Architect/Project Manager and is non-exempt, full-time.

Responsibilities include logging and processing submittals and RFIs, coordinating meetings, preparing documents, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping in project management software; a 4-year degree is preferred and 2 years of admin experience is expected.

Qualifications

  • Experience with construction management programs and/or on a construction job site.
  • Experience working with an architecture/engineering firm.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Knowledge of construction administration, procedures, and project related recordkeeping systems.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new project related software.

  • Enter project data into program management software system.
  • Communicate with project manager, construction administrator and professional consultants as needed.
  • Familiar with construction/ project close out process.

Summary

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional open office environment with low to moderate noise levels including collaborative work areas for team meetings. Each office provides collaborative work areas and shared resources such as video conferencing, printing/scanning, and a café for dining. Building construction site visits commonly include outdoor conditions with varying temperatures, rain, wind, dust, and noise levels and will require familiarity with construction job site safety protocol. Construction site conditions may include walking across uneven surfaces, climbing stairs and ladders.

Physical Demands
  • Hand/Wrist/Finger dexterity for 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week
  • Ability to lift a set of construction documents
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to traverse a construction site with uneven surfaces and different levels
Position Type/Hours expected to work
  • This is a full-time position with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week
Travel
  • Occasional travel
Required Education and Experience
  • 4-year degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • A minimum of two years of administrative experience in a fast-paced office environment
