Sol Creations in Portland, Oregon seeks a skilled Metal Fabricator to take custom residential and commercial metalwork from layout through installation. This full-time, on-site role offers a collaborative environment where craftsmanship and problem-solving shine.

You will fabricate handrails, gates, and architectural elements, read shop drawings, perform precision layout, MIG weld, grind, finish, and build fixtures to streamline production while upholding high cosmetic standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience fabricating custom handrails, gates, and architectural metal elements.
• Proficiency in MIG welding with short arc and inner shield techniques.
• Strong math skills for precise layouts using geometry.
• Operate shop tools such as bandsaws, ironworkers, and plasma cutters.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate complex architectural handrails, gates, and custom elements in workshop and on-site.
• Interpret shop drawings and structural plans for precise layout and cut lists.
• Perform MIG welding and finishing to achieve high cosmetic quality.
• Build and maintain jigs and fixtures to streamline production.
