Job summary

Blue Signal Search is seeking a Job Captain for on-site work in Norman, OK. You will help shape projects from design development through construction and act as a trusted technical resource on a collaborative team.

The role emphasizes leading documentation, coordinating with licensed architects and consultants, and supporting licensure progression while delivering high-quality drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of professional architecture experience following graduation.
• Progress toward architectural licensure (AXP) with active testing.
• Ability to independently produce complete construction document sets in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Working knowledge of building, accessibility, energy, and egress codes.
• Experience coordinating with consultants and internal teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Turn design concepts into coordinated drawing packages that are clear and buildable.
• Guide day-to-day drawing production, workload, and milestone deadlines.
• Develop code strategies covering occupancy, egress, accessibility and energy requirements.
• Coordinate documents with engineers and consultants, resolving conflicts.
• Prepare outline specifications and technical information for senior review.
• Support construction phase activities with RFI coordination and field observations.
• Contribute to milestone quality reviews for completeness and consistency.
