Job summary

Blueprint Hires in Austin, TX is seeking a Job Captain to lead the technical development and delivery of medium-scale architectural projects. You’ll coordinate consultants, guide junior staff, and ensure design intent becomes high-quality construction documents at our Austin office.

You’ll manage feasibility studies, schematic designs, working drawings, and project specifications; coordinate drawings and specifications while supporting QA/QC and construction administration; attend project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field; graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive technical and design production experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction documents, building codes, zoning, materials, specifications, and construction administration.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and SketchUp or Rhino; rendering experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, judgment, and client-management skills; LEED AP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development and delivery of medium-scale architectural projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants, delegate assignments, and guide junior staff.
• Develop programming, site planning, construction documents, and project deliverables.
• Coordinate drawings and specifications while supporting quality control and construction administration.
• Attend project meetings, conduct field observations, and communicate project status to leadership and clients.
