Job summary

ASC Group, Inc. seeks an Architectural Historian - Principal Investigator for our Indianapolis, IN office.

You will evaluate eligibility for National Register listings, Section 106 compliance, and 4(f) documentation, coordinating with Indiana and Michigan DOTs and SHPOs as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes independent project work and coordination with the Regional Manager and Project Manager, requiring 5+ years of experience and eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architectural History or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in cultural resource management and Section 106 compliance.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform literature reviews and records checks.
• Conduct field investigations and archival research.
• Prepare Historic Resource Survey Forms and determinations of effect.
• Coordinate Section 106 and 4(f) evaluations with agencies and clients.
• Develop proposals and cost estimates; attend meetings with clients and agencies.
