Job summary

GFT is looking for an Architectural Building Assessor to join our team. The Architectural Building Assessor conducts on-site condition assessments of architectural systems for large Facility Condition Assessment portfolios. The assessments are visual only and documented through field notes and photos.

The position is hourly, as-needed with travel across the country, typically one to two field weeks per month, and a hybrid work environment that combines in-person and remote reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of field experience evaluating architectural systems.
• Ability to identify typical failure modes and condition indicators for architectural components.
• Strong documentation skills; ability to communicate technical findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Visually assess architectural systems cited above.
• Identify deficiencies, performance issues, end-of-life indicators, and operational risks, documenting findings clearly with notes and photos.
• Coordinate with mechanical/electrical assessors to provide a complete building-level assessment narrative.
• Data capture, QA/QC, and reporting support using standardized assessment tools.
• Travel rotations with field weeks and remote reporting weeks; safety compliance.
