Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• PE licensure in DC or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in architectural engineering focusing on building system design and analysis.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and related design tools.
• Strong knowledge of building codes (ICC, ASCE, AISC, AIA) and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and engineers to design and analyze building systems, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and building envelopes.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national building codes and industry best practices.
• Prepare and review design drawings, technical reports, and specifications to ensure clarity and accuracy.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and verify compliance with design plans.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
