Job summary

David Weekley Homes in the Dallas Division is seeking an Architectural Draftsperson to support the development and coordination of residential home plans and construction drawings across the division. This role focuses on technical drafting and cross-functional coordination to support the design and construction documentation process for new home communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in architecture, architectural drafting, environmental design, or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
• Ability to read and understand residential construction drawings (floor plans, elevations, sections, details).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple plan updates.

Responsibilities

• Create and update lot-specific construction drawings for single-family and attached homes using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Prepare construction and permit drawing sets.
• Coordinate plan updates with division teams, engineers, and internal partners.
• Maintain and organize plan archives and documentation.
• Assist builders and teams with plan-related questions during construction.
• Collaborate with our international drafting team to ensure plans are accurate and up to date.

This role supports the development and coordination of residential home plans and construction drawings across the division.
