Job summary

David Weekley Homes is seeking an Entry-Level Architectural Draftsperson in the Orlando Division to support the development and coordination of residential home plans and construction drawings across multiple markets. The role emphasizes technical drafting, cross-functional coordination, and supporting the design and construction documentation process for new home communities.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in architecture, architectural drafting, environmental design, or a similar field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
• Ability to read residential construction drawings (floor plans, elevations, sections).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple plan updates.

Responsibilities

• Create and update lot-specific construction drawings for single-family and attached homes using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Prepare construction and permit drawing sets.
• Coordinate plan updates with division teams, engineers, and internal partners.
• Maintain and organize plan archives and documentation.
• Assist builders and teams with plan-related questions during construction.
• Collaborate with our international drafting team to ensure plans are accurate and up to date.
