• 2+ years of drafting or architectural design experience (residential preferred).
• Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit a plus).
• Strong understanding of structural plans, truss drawings, and basic construction methods.
• Experience coordinating with structural engineers.
• Familiar with structural terminology and able to manage multiple projects in a team.
• Detail-oriented, organized and proactive with strong communication skills.
• Experience in residential homebuilding, permitting and familiarity with Florida building codes is a plus.

David Weekley Homes is seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsperson to join our Orlando Division. This role supports our architectural design and construction teams by producing high-quality construction documents and ensuring alignment between architectural plans and structural requirements.

We are specifically looking for a candidate with a strong background in structural coordination, either through direct experience with structural engineering or through hands‑on collaboration with engineers in a residential or related environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a drafting professional who is confident working with structural plans, truss packages, and construction details and enjoys being a key contributor in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting.
