Zusammenfassung

STV’s Washington, DC Architecture practice is seeking an Architectural Designer I with 0–5 years of professional experience to join our growing multidisciplinary design team with our Buildings Group. The role offers exposure to transportation, civic, federal and other complex projects, with a strong emphasis on Revit proficiency and disciplined documentation.

The ideal candidate will collaborate across disciplines, contribute to design studies, and learn through diverse project types.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• 0–5 years of professional architectural experience.
• Strong architectural fundamentals, including plans, sections, elevations, spatial relationships, and basic building organization.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, including ability to navigate and modify project models and documentation.
• Ability to communicate architectural ideas through drawings, diagrams, and graphics.
• Willingness to work across different project types, phases, and assignments while learning.

Aufgaben

• Design and Project Development: Support architectural design, planning, documentation, visualization, and project coordination across different phases of work.
• Architectural Documentation: Assist with floor plans, elevations, sections, schedules, diagrams, and other drawings under supervision.
• Revit Modeling and Documentation: Develop and maintain Revit models and drawing content per project standards.
• Design Exploration: Contribute to design studies, diagrams, renderings, models, and presentation materials.
• Technical Learning: Understand building assemblies, detailing, constructability, accessibility, and life safety.
• Multidisciplinary Coordination: Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
• Project Coordination: Assist with meeting materials, coordination tracking, issue documentation, and delivery activities.
• Design Technology: Explore tools and workflows to improve design quality and productivity.
• Quality Control: Incorporate markups accurately and maintain model/drawing consistency.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate progress and seek clarification when requirements are unclear.
• Professional Development: Develop toward design leadership, technical architecture, or project management.
