Job summary

DLR Group, a leading integrated design firm, seeks an architect with 4+ years of experience to lead day-to-day design and technical development of projects in Charlotte, NC. You will coordinate document creation, work with the integrated design team, and ensure schedules and budgets are met.

You will implement BIM standards, guide junior staff, support client presentations, and help align cost estimates with design goals while contributing to marketing efforts and firm growth.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive technical knowledge with strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills.
• Undergraduate Degree in Architecture required; licensure not required.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in architecture.
• Proficient in Revit and Bluebeam; high level of proficiency in architecture software.
• Competent in technical design and evaluating solutions to meet client needs.
• Applies sustainable design principles and produces precise deliverables.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and innovative thinking with attention to detail.
• Active in expanding knowledge and contributing to marketing and business development.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative technical solutions to design challenges while maintaining design excellence.
• Integrate QA/QC and company protocols into project work, coordinating with Project Managers.
• Assist in maintaining project schedules and coordinating delivery of documents.
• Plan, design, and coordinate projects of various sizes, including complex assignments.
• Apply advanced architectural concepts and develop new techniques as needed.
• Ensure BIM standards are implemented and oversee quality control procedures.
• Lead collaboration within the project team, communicating design ideas effectively.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff and align estimates with design objectives.
• Participate in client presentations and contribute to project success through communication.
• Manage time and deliverables in alignment with project schedules and budgets.
