Job summary

Torentify is seeking an Architectural Designer (Project Designer) to lead restaurant design projects from concept development through construction documentation.   • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of architectural/restaurant design experience.
  • Experience developing test-fits, floor plans, elevations, and construction docs.
  • Knowledge of zoning, entitlement, permitting, and building regulations.

  • Lead restaurant design projects from initial concept through construction documentation.
  • Develop test-fits, site plans, floor plans, elevations, and architectural layouts.
  • Design restaurant spaces that enhance guest experience and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Support zoning, entitlement, permitting, and design review processes.
  • Review construction documents, RFIs, submittals, and design packages.
  • Select and refine finishes, lighting, signage, millwork, and interior design elements.
  • Manage project timelines, consultant coordination, and design deliverables.

About the Role

The Architectural Designer (Project Designer) will lead restaurant design projects from concept development through construction documentation. Reporting to the VP of Development & Design, this role is responsible for creating functional, visually appealing, and scalable restaurant environments that align with the company’s brand standards and operational goals.


Location: Sandy, Utah (Onsite)


Job Type: Full-Time


Salary: $65,000 — $95,000 annually


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead restaurant design projects from initial concept through construction documentation.

  • Develop test-fits, site plans, floor plans, elevations, and architectural layouts.

  • Design restaurant spaces that enhance guest experience and operational efficiency.

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Support zoning, entitlement, permitting, and design review processes.

  • Review construction documents, RFIs, submittals, and design packages.

  • Select and refine finishes, lighting, signage, millwork, and interior design elements.

  • Manage project timelines, consultant coordination, and design deliverables.

  • Continuously improve restaurant prototype designs to support future expansion.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.

  • 8 years of experience in architecture, restaurant design, hospitality, retail, or commercial design.

  • Experience developing test-fits, floor plans, elevations, and construction documentation.

  • Working knowledge of zoning, entitlement, permitting, and building regulations.


Technical Requirements

Candidates should have experience with:



  • Revit

  • AutoCAD

  • SketchUp

  • Adobe Creative Suite

  • Bluebeam (preferred)

  • BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (preferred)

  • Procore (preferred)

  • Rendering software (preferred)


Compensation & Benefits
