COAR Design Group in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our collaborative office. You will develop drawings in Revit, assist with construction documents, and participate in multiple projects from design development through CDs.

The ideal candidate brings proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite, with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and strong organization. A portfolio showcasing construction documents is required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare drawings in Revit adhering to office standards.
  • Develop construction documents for permitting, bidding, and construction.
  • Contribute to multiple concurrent projects from design through CD phase.
  • Communicate design ideas with presentations and client meetings.
  • Support design development with sketches, models, diagrams, massing studies.
  • Create graphic content for proposals and design boards.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare drawings in Revit that adhere to office standards
  • Assist project team/manager in developing construction documents for permitting, bidding and construction
  • Participate in multiple concurrent projects from start to finish during design development and construction documents phases
  • Develop and communicate design ideas and technical information related to the project including, but not limited to, design presentations, client meetings, detailing and hand sketching
  • Assists in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats.
  • Utilizes BIM technologies in development of three-dimensional models of buildings and their components.
  • Provides support for any tasks required for the successful completion of the project
  • Generates graphic content for proposals, material boards, and design presentations
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Ability to function comfortably, gain trust, confidence, and deal effectively with a wide range of individuals including consultants, contractors, vendors, and the COAR team
  • Working experience/proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced design environment
  • Well organized and efficient in completing tasks
Education And Experience

Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field is preferred.
