Job description

Architectural Designer

3–5 Years Experience | Custom Sustainable Residential Architecture

Full-Time | In-Person | Fairfield County, Connecticut

About Trillium Architects

Trillium Architects is an award-winning architectural firm specializing in high-end, sustainable residential design throughout Connecticut, Westchester County, New York, and the greater NYC Tri-State area.

Our work combines thoughtful design with advanced building science to create beautiful, healthy, energy- efficient homes. We are recognized for our expertise in Net Zero, Passive House, LEED, and high-performance residential design, and our projects range from major renovations and additions to custom new homes.

In 2024 we proudly became a worker-owned co-operative. We now have four owners and are actively seeking to grow that number.

We are looking for a talented Architectural Designer with approximately 3–5 years of professional experience to join our collaborative team.

About The Role

You will participate in developing designs, preparing and coordinating construction documents, researching materials and building systems, working with consultants, and helping resolve design and construction issues in the field.

We are looking for someone who combines strong design sensibility with technical curiosity and rigorous attention to detail. An interest in sustainable architecture, building science, and high-performance construction is particularly important.
