Job summary

Davila Homes in Orlando, FL, is seeking an experienced Residential Architect to shape our architectural portfolio and product strategies for single-family homes and multifamily developments. You will produce construction documents with AutoCAD, develop elevations, and collaborate with Design, Engineering, and Construction teams to drive growth while maintaining design standards and value engineering.

Licensed or pursuing licensure preferred; strong codes knowledge and 5+ years' experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 5 years of residential architectural design experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of residential building codes, zoning regulations, permitting requirements, and construction methods.
  • Experience producing complete construction documents and permit-ready plans.
  • Experience designing production homes, semi-custom homes, luxury homes, duplexes, and townhomes.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop floor plans for single-family homes, duplexes, townhomes, and future product lines.
  • Produce complete architectural construction documents and permit-ready plan sets using AutoCAD.
  • Create exterior elevations and curb appeal packages across multiple architectural styles.
  • Continuously refine plans based on market trends, buyer preferences, construction efficiency, and value engineering initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership to create and launch new home series and housing products.
  • Coordinate with engineering consultants and collaborate with Construction, Purchasing, Sales, and Design teams.
  • Develop standard selections, upgrade packages, and maintain company design standards.
