Job summary

Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C. is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our Facilities practice in Annapolis, MD. You will create construction documents and interiors CAD drawings under a Project Architect, supporting building design from concept through detailing.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or certificate in architectural drafting, 2–8 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in CAD, Revit, and AutoCAD. Strong writing and team collaboration are essential for project success.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in architectural drafting or equivalent.
• 2–8 years of relevant experience preferred.
• ADDA certification preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software; experience with Revit and AutoCAD preferred.
• Knowledge of building design, specifications, and construction documents.
• Proficient in technical writing and strong verbal/written communication; able to interact effectively within a project team.

We are currently seeking an Architectural Designer to join our Facilities practice area. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Using computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to create construction documents and detailed designs of buildings and interiors from the guidance of a Project Architect;


• Assist with Building conditions assessments, reports, and field documentation for projects;


• Assist with Building code reviews and compliant studies, under the guidance of a Project Architect;


• Verification of construction projects for compliance with plans and specifications.

Requirements

• An associate's degree or certification program in architectural drafting, or similar.


• 2-8 years of applicable experience preferred.


• American design drafting association (ADDA) certification preferred.


• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software; experience with Revit and AutoCAD is preferred.


• Knowledge of building design, specifications, and construction documents.


• Applicants must be proficient in technical writing and possess proficient verbal and written communication skills, and be able to interact effectively within a project team environment.


• The desire to learn quickly and be self-motivated.


• Take personal responsibility for the accurate and timely completion of assignments on various projects.

Estimated Pay Range: $28-35/hour.

Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
