Job summary

Archinect in Rockland County is seeking a CAD Draftsperson with 1–2 years of architectural drafting experience to join a small architectural firm serving the Hudson Valley and Northern New Jersey.

You will work with AutoCAD to read and prepare plans, elevations, sections, and details, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Candidates from Rockland, Westchester, Orange counties and nearby areas are encouraged to apply; commuting to the office is required.

CAD Draftsperson

Small Architectural Firm - Rockland County / Hudson Valley / Northern New Jersey Area

Small, established architectural firm is looking for a CAD Draftsperson with a minimum of 1-2 years of architectural drafting experience.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Minimum 1-2 years of architectural office/drafting experience
• Architectural drafting education or coursework
• Ability to read and prepare architectural plans, elevations, sections, and details
• Good attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Reliable and willing to learn

A degree in architecture or architectural licensure is not required. We are primarily looking for someone who is a good AutoCAD draftsperson and understands basic architectural drafting.

Location

Rockland County / Hudson Valley area, with consideration for qualified candidates from Rockland County, Orange County, Westchester County, the Hudson Valley, and Northern New Jersey.

This position is intended for someone who can reasonably commute to the office. We are not looking for someone who needs to commute from New York City every day.
