Job summary

Adamick Architecture in New Orleans, LA seeks a full-time Architect II with 6+ years of experience and an architecture license to join our design team. You will lead residential and small-scale commercial projects, produce drawings, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants in a collaborative, in-office environment.

We offer a salary range of $80,000–$85,000, discretionary bonuses, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
• Architecture license (NCARB/IDP).
• 6+ years of post-graduate experience.
• Experience in custom residential and small-scale commercial projects (hospitality, retail, medical) preferred; institutional work valued (churches, schools, libraries).
• Experience with historic preservation and historic buildings is a plus.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative; teamwork.
• Willingness to be flexible and open to learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential and commercial projects and serve as the primary client-facing contact; engage in all phases of design, produce construction drawings, details, and schedules.
• Manage project communication and coordination between team members, clients, contractors, and consultants.
• Conduct field measurements and site visits as required.
• Prepare agendas and presentation materials for client meetings; attend meetings and take notes.
• Analyze and apply building codes and local zoning regulations.
• Coordinate with local historic districts and navigate permitting processes.
