Prospect Park Alliance is seeking an Architect II in Brooklyn, NY (remote possible) to lead design and documentation for park capital projects. The role oversees design development, construction documents, and construction administration, coordinating with stakeholders across PPA and NYC agencies.

The candidate should have a NY architectural license and 6–8 years of experience, with strong project leadership, regulatory know-how, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• New York State Architecture License required; licensure in another jurisdiction considered if pursuing NY licensure.
• 6-8 years of relevant architectural experience coordinating large or complex projects.
• Experience across all phases of project delivery: design, permitting, construction documents, and construction administration.
• LEED accreditation is a plus.
• A valid Driver’s license is required.

Aufgaben

• Lead capital planning and project scoping, establishing goals, program requirements, scope, budget, schedule, and risks.
• Manage assigned projects and components, track budgets, schedules, deliverables and risks; maintain progress with the Director and team.
• Lead architectural projects through all design phases: Schematic Design to Construction Documents.
• Prepare high-quality drawings, 3D models, presentations, and technical specs.
• Lead reviews with NYC Parks, LPC, DOB, and other agencies; coordinate multidisciplinary consultants.
• Coordinate consultant scopes, proposals, reviews, and invoices.
• Provide architectural guidance, mentor staff, and act as project architect for moderate-scale projects.
