Job summary

Axiom-Path in Birmingham, AL is seeking an experienced architectural professional to join a high-performing team delivering civic, educational, healthcare, and community projects.

You will collaborate with architects and engineers, manage multiple projects, prepare drawings and specs, and advance from planning through construction.

Requirements include 5+ years of architecture experience, a Bachelor of Architecture, NCARB or registration, and Revit Architecture proficiency; travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant architectural experience.
  • Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Registered Architect or NCARB certification required.
  • Proficiency in Revit Architecture required.
  • Experience with complementary design tools preferred.
  • Strong understanding of full project lifecycle: development, design, documentation, and construction.

Responsibilities

  • Support the technical execution and delivery of architectural projects from early planning through design, documentation, and construction support.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams across multiple offices and project types.
  • Prepare complete architectural project documents, including drawings, specifications, and project manuals.
  • Design and detail full projects, building systems, components, and technical processes with accuracy and quality.
  • Coordinate detailed aspects of architectural work, including scopes, budgets, schedules, and assignments.
  • Participate in project meetings and present specific areas of architectural work to clients, consultants, officials, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Balance multiple moderate-sized projects or portions of larger projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, organization, communication, and continuous improvement in day-to-day project execution.

Are you an experienced architectural professional ready to make an impact?
  • 5+ years of relevant architectural experience.
  • Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited architectural program.
  • Registered Architect or completion of the NCARB program required.
  • Proficiency in Revit Architecture required.
  • Experience with complementary design tools strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the full architectural project lifecycle, including development/scoping, design, documentation, and construction.
  • Ability to prepare complete project documents, including specifications and project manuals.
  • Broad knowledge of architectural principles, practices, detailing, and technical execution.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively on multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing needs, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with sound decision-making, time management, delegation, and client relationship skills.
