  • Working knowledge of building codes, ADA, and FGI Guidelines
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; Enscape, InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office
  • CD/CA production knowledge and building systems understanding
  • Knowledge of space planning and design principles

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple low- to mid-complexity projects across the enterprise.

  • Prepare programs, schematics, renderings, and design documents for reviews.
  • Guide design concepts and present to internal/external teams and leadership.

As an Architect I, you will manage multiple low- to mid-complexity projects across the enterprise, including renovations, new construction, and the recapitalization of existing facilities. You will support strategic planning and coordinate administrative and technical project efforts to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with established goals.

You will serve as a primary liaison for clients, helping guide projects through completion while managing schedules, budgets, scope, and design intent in collaboration with the project team. You will also contribute to the development of project budgets and schedules and take on complex or unique assignments that require developing new or improved techniques and procedures.

A caregiver in this position works M-F, days, 8:00am—5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
  • Support and collaborate with the overall project design team; leads the design vision and design documents for review and presentation to internal and external teams including government agencies, user groups, design review boards, and CC Leadership.
  • Assist in the preparation of building programs for design purposes, including conceptual and schematic design plans, detailed design or design intent, massing, and renderings for projects, prepares the renderings and drawings for further development and presentations; reviews work of consulting designers, architects and engineers and provides guidance on developing design concepts.
  • Assist in assessing facility and space requests by working with support departments to determine space, functional needs, equipment, and utility requirements in preparing design solutions for development. Areas of focus, include space planning and design development for clinical, administrative, research and support areas.
  • Create and document ideas in 2 and 3 dimensions to portray initial concepts. Prepares and presents information including projects, design guidelines, trends, and special studies internally and externally.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Healthcare Facilities Planning and Design
  • 2 years professional experience
  • Registered (licensed) Architect. An Architect may have a valid license in one or more states, prefer license issued in either State of Ohio or Florida
  • Working knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and FGI Guidelines
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit skills, Enscape, InDesign, Adobe Creative Suites and Microsoft Products (PPT, Excel, Word)
  • Production of CD’s, CA, and ability to exhibit knowledge of building design, systems, and construction
  • Knowledge of design principles, application of color, materials, and aesthetic form to develop conceptual design solutions based off programming and planning concepts
  • Knowledge of space planning
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
  • Experience within healthcare environment
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time
  • Ability to travel throughout the Cleveland Clinic health system
  • Ability to travel to locations outside of the Cleveland Clinic health system
  • Ability to travel domestically
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
  • Ability to move/transport items weighing up to 25 pounds (lbs.)
  • Ability to drive
  • Ability to inspect construction and renovation sites
Personal Protective Equipment:
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range

Minimum Annual Salary: $84,200.00

Maximum Annual Salary: $128,412.50

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).
