Job summary

GHD’s US West Design Studio is seeking a strategic, relationship‑driven Project Director – Architect who will help grow our architecture practice across building sectors. The role can be based in Anchorage, AK, Honolulu, HI, or Guam and will serve as lead architect, project manager, and seller‑doer.

Hybrid work model with in‑office collaboration three days a week. Responsibilities span business development, design leadership, and delivery oversight, with a focus on winning work and mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.
• Architectural licensure in the U.S. (required) or active progress toward licensure.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and grow client relationships across target markets while deepening GHD’s presence.
• Lead opportunity identification, positioning, and pursuit strategy for new and existing clients.
• Partner with US West Design Studio leadership to drive growth, revenue targets, and key account development.
• Collaborate with market sector leaders to coordinate integrated offerings.
• Represent the Architecture Design studio and GHD at industry events and conferences.
• Support proposal development, interview strategy, and client presentations.
