Job summary

A global healthcare enterprise is looking for an Architect, Enterprise Platforms & Security to drive meaningful change across its technology environment. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives on setting direction, influencing how a large, complex organization modernizes, and staying close enough to the technology to make that change real with a technical acumen to influence that change.

We're looking for a hands-on and strategic driver, someone who can walk into a complex, global environment, see what needs to change, build the case for it, and lead the charge to get it done.

This role is built for someone who wants to lead change, not just be along for the ride. You'll have real influence over how a global enterprise modernizes its core systems, platforms and security posture, visibility with leadership, and the ability to shape both immediate wins and long-term strategy.

What You'll Do

• Set the strategic direction for the organization's core systems, networking, and access environment across a global footprint
• Act as a driver of change, identifying where the current environment is holding the business back and building the roadmap to modernize it
• Lead initiatives around modern identity and access strategy, helping the organization move toward stronger, more resilient security models
• Champion more mature, automated approaches to how infrastructure is built and managed
• Balance big-picture strategy with hands-on involvement when it's needed to move initiatives forward
• Build and evangelize technical standards and best practices used consistently across a global organization
• Influence and align technology leadership, cross-functional teams, and outside vendors around a shared systems and security vision
• Translate complex technical decisions into clear, compelling recommendations for executive and non-technical audiences
• Own initiatives end-to-end, from building buy-in to execution

What We're Looking For

• A track record of leading systems/security strategy and driving organizational change, not just executing on someone else's roadmap
• Strong background in infrastructure and networking, rather than primarily cloud or application architecture
• Solid understanding of modern identity and access approaches, and how they apply in a large enterprise environment
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms in an infrastructure context (hands-on cloud engineering is not the focus of this role) - AWS preferred!
• Exposure to modern approaches for automating and standardizing infrastructure delivery
• Comfortable operating as both a strategic leader and a hands-on contributor when the moment calls for it
• Experience influencing change in large, complex, global enterprise environments
• Excellent communication and influence skills, able to build consensus across technical teams and senior leadership
• A confident, ownership-driven mindset with a genuine track record of leading transformation

Ideal Background

Experience within healthcare, or another large-scale, global, multi-location enterprise, translates well here. We're especially interested in candidates who have led infrastructure, network, or identity/security transformation directly, not those who've operated exclusively in an advisory or consulting capacity. Experience navigating the compliance and regulatory considerations common in healthcare environments is a plus.
