This remote-eligible role is based in Los Angeles, CA and involves travel to engage with architects, designers, developers, and contractors across the Los Angeles market. The ideal candidate will have current project experience, strong knowledge of specification development and construction documentation, and a network within the architecture and design community.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of outside sales experience with architectural products.
  • Familiarity with architectural products, territories, markets, and clients.
  • Time and territory management abilities.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel daily and participate in meetings with overnight stays.
  • Ability to drive a Company vehicle and pass a driving record check.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic plan to generate and increase relationships and sales with customers and key accounts.
  • Provide education and training to architects, designers, developers, and general contractors on all products and services.
  • Lead CEU education meetings and product-specific presentations.
  • Host education workshops to deepen customer relationships.
  • Assist architects in generating specifications and integrating products into master specs.
  • Collaborate with national account managers to forecast market trends and opportunities.
  • Manage territory by delivering presentations, providing support, and updating catalogs and specifications.
  • Work with distributors and partners on education events and product demonstrations.
  • Attend trade shows to expand relationships with architects and designers.
  • Visit job sites for pre-installation and post-installation education as needed.

We are seeking a currently practicing Architect to join our client's commercial team as the architectural expert working directly with the client. This role is designed for an architect who wants to remain deeply connected to the profession, the design community, and the built environment, while gaining broader market influence and a more relationship-driven career path. You will continue working alongside architects and designers every day, helping shape project outcomes where design intent, material performance, technical requirements, and construction execution meet.

In this position, you will use your architectural expertise to support design professionals, influence product selection, and help bring high-performing commercial projects from early design through installation. You will serve as a credible technical and design resource to architects, interior designers, developers, contractors, distributors, and project teams across the Los Angeles market.

The ideal candidate is an active architect with current project experience, strong familiarity with specification development and construction documentation, and an established presence within the architecture and design community. You will not be selling a commodity; you'll help project teams solve material, performance, detailing, and installation challenges with confidence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business development & relationship building-develop a strategic plan to generate & increase relationships and sales with customers and key accounts.
  • Provide education and training to architects, designers, developers, and general contractors on all products and services.
  • Give architectural and product education meetings – CEU’s and product-specific presentations.
  • Host education workshops to educate customers on products and build deeper relationships.
  • Assist architects and interior designers in generating specifications, with the goal of including our products in their master specifications and project documents.
  • Work closely with national account managers to build relationships that increase sales and help forecast market trends and potential issues.
  • Manage the assigned territory by delivering regular product presentations, providing customer support, updating the library, and reviewing specifications.
  • Collaborate with the commercial manager and distribution team to generate, track, and fulfill large projects from specification through installation, and develop a commercial strategy for the region.
  • Collaborate with Distributor Strategic Account Managers and A&D partners on product education meetings and events.
  • Attend Commercial and Architectural trade shows to increase relationships with architects, interior designers, national accounts, developers, and industry partners.
  • When necessary, visit job sites for pre-installation and post-installation education to ensure installers and architects achieve the desired finished product.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience with architectural products, tile installation materials, or other technical sales.
  • Familiarity with architectural products, territories, markets, and clients.
  • Time and territory management abilities.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to attend and actively participate in national, regional, and team meetings with overnight stays.
  • Ability to travel daily to meet customers and use the remaining time for planning, preparation, and training.
  • Ability to drive a Company vehicle and pass a driving record background check (including moving violations, accidents, license suspensions, etc.)
