Job summary

alt32 Architecture seeks an Architect and Project Manager to join our Lexington office. This licensed professional will lead a team, manage projects, and collaborate with clients, consultants, and staff to achieve project goals.

The ideal candidate has eight+ years in project management, six+ years leading teams, and licensure. Strong communication and design leadership are essential, with travel within the state expected for coordination and delivery.

Qualifications

• Licensed architect with current licensure in good standing.
• Minimum eight years of project management experience.
• Experience leading a team or managing designers for at least six years.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration within teams.
• Solid foundation of technical knowledge across design phases.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and project delivery across multiple projects.
• Lead meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Oversee consultant teams and design coordination.
• Possibly expand market presence and lead a studio in the future.
• Travel within Kentucky as needed; limited out-of-state travel.

Job description

We are searching for an Architect and Project Manager to join our growing team! This is a special opportunity for a licensed architect to use their experience to lead a team and lead projects. Experience in K-12 and higher education work is highly preferred.

This key staff member will be a part of our leadership team, helping us create and contribute to long-range plans and objectives, and establish and meet goals. They will also manage quality control within the firm as a whole. After a period of time, we expect this teammate may also help to expand our presence in one of the project markets above and potentially lead a studio within the firm. This teammate will be excited to work and communicate with clients, lead meetings, manage budgets, schedules, and consultant teams, and lead project design. Travel within the state will be expected, with little out-of-state expected at this time.

This position will be based in our Lexington office.

Ideal candidates will already have:

• At least eight years of project management experience
• At least six years of leading a team or managing designers
• At least eight years of successfully developing solutions and producing through all phases of design
• At least eight years of licensure
• Strong communication skills and team collaboration
• Solid foundation of technical knowledge
