Project Manager – Educational Architecture

Charlottesville, VA | Full-time | Architecture | 8+ years experience
Salary Range: $105,000 – $120,000 annually (based on experience and licensure)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Project Manager to lead the design and delivery of K-12 educational architecture projects from concept through construction. This role is ideal for an experienced architect who thrives in a client-facing leadership position and is passionate about creating inspiring, functional learning environments.

You'll manage cross-functional teams, oversee budgets and schedules, and work closely with educators, administrators, and consultants to bring impactful educational spaces to life.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Manage multiple small to mid-size K-12 projects from start to finish

  • Lead project planning, design coordination, and construction administration

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams

  • Develop project schedules, budgets, proposals, and contracts

  • Mentor junior staff and help foster a collaborative studio culture

  • Ensure compliance with educational standards, building codes, and sustainability benchmarks

What We're Looking For
  • Professional degree in architecture (accredited)

  • 8+ years of experience in architecture, with significant K-12 work

  • Licensed architect (preferred)

  • Proficient in Revit and project management tools

  • Knowledge of building codes, LEED/sustainability standards, and construction processes

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
