Job summary

WestLand Engineering and Environmental Services, a Trinity Consultants team, seeks a full-time Archaeology Field Director to lead Northwest Cultural Resources fieldwork across WA, OR and nearby states. Based in Seattle, Spokane, or Portland offices, you’ll manage crews, ensure compliance, and deliver technical reports.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's in Archaeology or Anthropology, with at least 3 years Northwest experience and 1 year supervisory background.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field; substitution allowed with experience.
• Minimum of three years NW experience and one year supervision.
• Experience writing technical archaeological reports.
• Familiarity with WISAARD and WA cultural resources regulations.
• Ability to travel for work in the Northwest; team player and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead archaeological field work including surveys, testing, monitoring, and data recovery.
• Supervise field crews; map features, draw plans, and maintain records.
• Process and catalog artifacts to lab specs; file records.
• Perform archival research and record searches.
• Draft technical cultural resources reports.
