Job summary

Environmental Assessment Services, LLC, based in Richland, WA, is seeking an experienced archaeologist for a full-time remote position with travel as needed. You will lead and execute all phases of archaeological investigations, coordinate with SHPOs and tribes, manage field teams, and prepare compliance reports.

The role requires a Master’s degree, SOI qualification, and 5+ years of relevant experience, with travel up to half the time.

Qualifications

:Bachelor’s or higher in archaeology/anthropology; SOI Qualified; 5+ years preferred.
Minimum field experience in Pacific Northwest and Southwest US; valid driver's license; ability to travel 25%-50%; pass drug and background checks; accredited field school completed.

Responsibilities

:Complete all phases of archaeological investigation.
:Expertise in field excavation techniques, inventory evaluation and data recovery; report prep.
:Consult with SHPOs, Native Tribes and agencies.
:Manage project tasks including scheduling, budgeting, invoices.
:Prepare Work Plans and field methodologies; supervise field crews.
:Write archaeological reports and NHPA/NRHP related documentation; assess effects on sites.
:Utilize GPS, Total Stations, GIS, and Adobe software.
:Peer review internal and external documents; work independently or in teams.
