AtkinsRéalis invites applications for an Archaeological Intern to join our Tallahassee or Tampa, FL office. You will provide administrative support and participate in cultural resource projects, including field surveys and report preparation.

Under supervision, you may conduct pedestrian surveys and shovel testing, assist with artifact processing, data entry, and site forms, gaining hands-on experience in a leading organization.

Qualifications

• Must have completed 60 hours toward a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a closely related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying field conditions; walk long distances and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic data entry skills.

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Archaeological Intern to join our Tallahassee or Tampa, FL office.

Your Role

Provide administrative and operational support for cultural resource management projects, including archaeological surveys and report preparation.

Assist with project-related tasks such as artifact processing, data entry, curation, report figure production, site form preparation, desktop survey, and consultation activities.

About You

• EXPERIENCE: No prior Cultural Resource Management work experience is required.
• EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours toward a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a closely related field by the start of the internship.
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively.
• Candidates must have the ability to work outdoors in varying field conditions, walk long distances, carry up to 40 pounds of equipment, stoop, and squat.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic computer and data entry skills.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $23 - $29 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
