TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking Archaeological Field Technicians for temporary/as-needed roles in central and northern California. You will support a variety of projects including utility and transmission work, with start within a month and duration to be determined.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in anthropology, archaeology, or related discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in archaeological surveys and/or excavations.
• Ability to think critically in the field.
• Familiarity with digital field technology (GPS, Trimble) preferred.
• Commitment to quality and safety.
• Willingness to walk long distances and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Must be willing to travel and have excellent communication; work well on a team or alone.
• Must have a valid driver's license and pass motor vehicle records checks.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and related verifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality of archaeological data, fieldwork, and paperwork.
• Perform archaeological surveys, testing, data recovery and monitoring.
• Complete tasks in a timely fashion; coordinate with project managers regarding requirements.
• Complete desktop reviews of utility/transmission projects and prior survey coverage.
